Services for Monnie M. Sheppard , formerly of Riverside, will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside. She died Thursday of congestive heart failure at Anaheim Memorial Hospital. She was 85.
Friends may call at the mortuary today from 1 until 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 10 a.m. until service time.
Burial will be in Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside.
Mrs. Sheppard was born in Williford, Ark. She lived in Riverside 19 years before moving to Anaheim 20 years ago. Mrs. Sheppard was a special education teacher for the Riverside Unified School District for 19 years. She also taught at Gage Junior High in Riverside for one year.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 191 in Orange County. Mrs. Sheppard attended the Reorganized Church of Jesus Chrust of Latter Day Saints in Anaheim. She was a member of the California Teachers Association.
Mrs. Sheppard is survived by a cousin, Doris Breeze of Anaheim; two nieces, Shelly McClean of Concord and Susan Brooks of Baypoint; and two nephews, David Condit of Warrenton, Va., and Michael Condit of Hayward.
