I was so happy to find your web page. I pulled out the 1916 Revision last night of the Condit Genealogy and wondered if there had been anything after that. My mother is Elinor Condit Winslow the daughter of Sears Byram Condit descendant of Isaac. Her family is listed on Page 439 of the Genealogy.

My reason for the search is that my mother is 107 and still living at home in amazing shape except for her hearing which has always been poor and her sight which is failing. My daughter who is a neuroscientist has her enrolled in the Archon Genome Project which is looking at DNA to see about its role in Centenarians. I am in the process of filling out a lot of family history forms and since some of the family will be at my mother's tomorrow for Easter I decided I had better get started so I could pick their brains!

I don't know if you have information about our family - I think my brother Nick may have been in touch with someone. I will see him tomorrow. I would be happy to send you info from our end but it will have to wait until the summer when I finish teaching and have some time.

Dear David,
Jane Deborah Barlow Condit was my maternal great-great grandmother. My grandmother was Ella Matilda Condit. My grandmother was Doris Brittin Jareckie.

I am in possession of two horsehair trunks. One has the initials of JDB and the other IB.
The hold the belongings of Jane Deborah Barlow Condit and Irene Barlow. Jane's trunk has white cotton dresses, jewelry, and notes. Irene was Jane's daughter who only lived one year. My sister was named after her. Irene's trunk has her baby clothes and condolence letters. There were originally stored in the family home in Madison, NJ located at 45 Crescent Road. The trunks were then moved to Vermont when the family house sold. The trunks went into storage in the attic of our family home.

My father, David Spelman Jareckie and aunt, Doris Olga Jareckie Honig attended a Barlow-Spelman family reunion years ago. I am not sure when the next reunion will happen but I thought it would be nice to show the contents to the family.

My brother is George Asa Fowler III and was born December 9, 1942. He and Mary ??? had 2 daughters, Christie Mae Fowler and Cathy ???? I don't remember the dates. Christie has just recently been back in touch with me by facebook. Hoping I can convince her to talk more as time goes by.

all names ring the bell. I knew Napolean "Bone"'s wife, Modena "Dean" she was a sister to my grandfather. My grandmother was L Withey Morrow, Dock and Bone's sister, who married William T Humphres. Dean lived just about 1/4 mile or less from us. Know the names of the grandparents. Dock, Bone and Withey's mom, Zillion Ann, lived with both Bone and Withey after Alexander Milling died. Withey was her last place to live. My parents Jess and Ruth Humphres Halcomb bought the home place of William and Withey. Bone and Dean's grand daughter bought her home place.
Dean remarried and had 5 children by the 2nd husband, James Martin. His son married her daughter by Bone. that daughter, Elvira, died and Dean raised the 2 daughters that Ed and Elvira Morrow Martin had. It was one of those daughters that bought the homeplace.
The Alexander Milling Morrow family lived in Marion County around the community of Bexar. I know my grandmother was born there and she was the baby of the family. They moved from there to the Halltown Community. Some of the property that Zillion Ann owned was bought by my grandfather, Will H. I have a copy of the deed. There are still some of the grandchildren and great grands living in the area. Lots of Morrows are buried in the Halltown Cemetery. Alexander M. and Zillion A are buried in the Old Burleson Cemetery a few miles away.

Mrs. Dees was a lifelong member of the Saragossa Baptist Church, who has gone to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a special angel from God who will not be forgotten by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Joan Downey.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Dees of Carbon Hill; her father and stepmother, Arthur and Lila Downey of Carbon Hill; her brother, Butch Downey and his wife, June of Saragossa; her brother-in-law, Levi Dees and his wife, Helen of Thach; her nephew, his wife and family, Tim, Tracy, Whitney and Erin Downey of Saragossa; her niece and her husband, Tina and Jason McGalliard of Jasper. She is also survived by her stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
