The July 28, 1812 Record of Dowers of Dutchess County mentions the children of Jonas Parks and "David Parks of the town of Stanford." The purposeful mentioning of David of Stanford would imply that he is closely related to Jonas. We know this David was the son of Jonathan and in analyzing his (Jonathan’s) birthdate, he could not have been Jonas' father, so would most likely be his brother. If this is the case, then Jonathan would be Jonas' father also. Currently, this is circumstantial and might be conclusively proven by finding the 1802 probate record for Jonathan Sr.
