1801, Sept. 1. Baldwin, Benjamin, of Newark Twsp., Essex Co.; will of. Wife, Sally, as the law provides [her thirds]. Eldest son, Josias, in addition to farm he now lives on, 10 acres bought of Benjamin Coe adjoining on Gershon Kilborn and lot of meadow bought of Mathew Condit. Son, Uzal, farm where he now lives; also lot of 10 acres bought of Joseph Baldwin, % of meadow at Wheeler's point and tanyard lot. Son, Jeptha, farm I now live on including land bought of Jabez Pierson, % of meadow at Wheeler's point and re- mainder of moveable estate; he to pay the other legacies. Son, Uzal, $500. Eldest daughter, Mary Cone, $150. Daughters, Phebe Condit, Abigail Condit, Rhoda Myer and Eunice Condit and grandson, Maither (?) each $150. Executors—sons, Josias and Jeptha Baldwin.
