Notes for Isaac (Spouse 1)
He died by a railroad accident, which occurred near his residence at Pataskala, Ohio. In the spring of 1835 he moved to Harrison Township, Licking County, Ohio, with five children, where he purchased one hundred acres of unimproved land, and, after erecting a cabin, began pioneer life in the woods, and remained in this locality during life. Isaac and his wife, with fourteen others, were the organizing members of the South Fork Presbyterian Church, in which he was an elder until 1852, when a church was formed nearer his home at Kirkersville. He was made an elder in the new organization, and remained such until his death. During all these years of his residence in Ohio he was an active worker in the Sunday School and an earnest advocate of the cause of temperance.
