Notes for Daniel Ogden
Daniel Ogden was an earnest young patriot of the Revolutionary War, and served two terms in the Federal army in his father’s stead, being in the battle of Springfield, while his father, John Ogden, was at home in Morristown, New Jersey, actively engaged in the patriot cause. He died at Walton, New York, being striken with paralysis while standing by the open grave of his wife, and died a few hours later.827
