Notes for Canada McOllough
They resided in Cass County, Iowa. In 1860 he went to Colorado and engaged in mining. In 1867, returning to Iowa, he was attacked by Indians 200 miles west of Fort Kearny and received wounds which resulted in his death March 18, 1868. Joanna died Jan. 29, 1899, at the home of her daughter, Laura Dawson, Clarion, Iowa.7
