Lyon Family genealogist indicate that Benjamin Lyon married Bethia Condit although to this date there is no documentation to prove the connection.2375  If Bethia was a Cundict/Condit, she would be a sister of Peter by John Cundict’s first wife and there is no known sisters of Peter. The Lindsley genealogy provides a convincing proof that Benjamin Lyon married Bethia Lindley, John Cundict’s married Deborah Lindsley, and Matthew Williams married Ruth Lindley, all daughters of Francis Lindley, but there has been no hard proof found to substantiate the first two marriages.537

John Cundict, the ancestor, wrote in his will “My will and Desire is yt my Loving friends and brothers Benjamin Lyon and Matthew Williams would oversee and take care yt this my will be fulfilled.” This was originally taken to mean that Benjamin and Matthew married sisters of John Cundict, but the Lindley genealogy makes a convincing case that John Cundict, Benjamin Lyon, and Matthew Williams all married Lindley sisters.537
