Mrs. Parker married General Parker when he was a young lieutenant, and joined him on the frontier in the late seventies (1870’s). She spent her life in the Army.

Awarded Congressional Medal of Honor “For distinguished gallantry at Vigan, Phillippine Insurrection, Dec 4, 1899.
In May 1886, First Lieutenant Parker commanded one column of troops sent into Mexico to track down the famous Apache leader Geronimo and his band, and cooperated with Captain W. H. Lawton and First Lieutenant Charles B. Gatewood when Geronimo was captured.
USMA 1876, Promoted thru the regular grades to rank of Brig. Gen. USA Mar 3, 1913. Served in the Indian campaigns, Spanish-American War, Philippines Insurrection, Mexican border. Maj Gen NA World War 1, commander of 32nd and 85th Divisions, 1917-1919.
