Civil War Veteran.
4181James Fowler, the street superintendent at Seabright, died there this morning of heart disease, aged 66 years. He was the father of Harry Fowler, who is in state prison for the killing of an infant at Long Branch, and his death was hastened by grieving over his son's crime. Another son, James was killed by a train about two years ago. His wife has been dead a number of years. He leaves several grown up children.

Mrs. Mary J. Fowler.
Mrs. Mary J. Fowler, wife of James Fowler, died at Seabright on Thursday morning, aged 54 years. Her death was due to cancer of the womb, from which she had been suffering for over a year. She had been a devoted member and steward of the Methodist church at Seabright for a number of years. Eight children survive her. They are James H., William R., John, Charles B. and Harry Fowler, Mrs. Brazilla Johnson, Stokes and Effie Fowler. All the children are married with the exception of the last two. The funeral services were held from the Seabright Methodist church on Sunday afternoon, Rev. W. S. Zane officiating. The interment was at Asbury Park.
