Moved from Bedford Co., Tennessee to Greene Co., Illinois about 1829. Lived in Illinois until about 1844 when he moved to Macon Co., Missouri.1025
Could be John Ray in Greene Co., Illinois census in 1840 and 1830 although children do not fit but the best fit is a Petson (Jetson?) Ray who has children that fit perfectly in 1830.
In the Tennessee, Early Tax List Records, 1783-1895 for the year 1836, there is a William Ray, Thomas Ray, Jason Ray, Hezekiah Ray all listed.2990
