21591. FRANCES COTTON, daughter, evidently, by the first marriage, was born about 1573. She was married about 1598 to GEORGE ABELL, Gent., of Hemington in Lockington, co. Leicester, son of Robert Abell, of Stapenhill, co. Derby. He was born at Stapenhill about 1561. He matriculated 8 Dec. 1578 at Brasenose College, Oxford, and was admitted to the Middle Temple in 1581. GEORGE ABELL, GENT., was buried at Hemington on 13 Sep. 1630. His will, dated 8 Sep. 1630 and proved 7 Feb 1630/1 (P.C.C., 10 St. John), made this bequest: "I bequeath unto my second sonne Robert Abell onlie a Twentie shillings peece for his childs parte in regard of ye charges I have beene at in placeing him in a good trade in Lonon wch hee hath made noe use of and since in furnishing him for newe England where I hope he now is".
